Overview of our March-June holiday

Leaving the end of March we’ll fly to London to visit Naomi. It will have been a good 5-6 months since we last saw her so we are really looking forward to this. We’ll spend about 5 days with her in London, private tour guide!, and then leave most of our gear behind and fly to Sevilla (Spain).

As Jan and Els are in Portugal (Monte Gordo, 150 km from Seville) we are renting a car and will visit them for 2 nights. Then we’ll high-tail it back to Seville, spend 2 nights in a hostel and start the Camino Via de la Plata. How long this will take is anyone’s guess. We decided the walking and enjoying of the scenery is more important than trying to walk the whole trail in a set time. The Via is said to have a lot of Roman and Muslim influences, of which there is still ample evidence in the architecture and ruins along the way.

Halfway to Santiago de Compostela is Salamanca, where Dirk will join us from the 1st of May. We should make it in that time 🙂 Whether he will continue to the end remains to be seen as I believe there are plans to catch up with Naomi, sometime, somewhere…either way, we are grateful for the company we do get, and hope those two have a good time together. Timo will hold the fort at home, thanks buddy 🙂

Camino Via de la Plata

After Spain it is back to England, and depending on the weather and the time we have left we’ll decide what comes next. Somewhere in June we will go to the Netherlands to visit family and friends, from where we fly to Singapore and then home again.

If you think this sounds good and you want to know how we get on, keep an eye on this blog. It will be the only way as I am deactivating Facebook for 2019. From now till closer to leaving there will not be much activity, after that I hope to post regularly.

Buenos Anos Nuevos!
